Storytime and After School programs are starting up again at the library for the kiddies so don’t forget to take advantage of them. Fullerton Pooch Park is in need of volunteers to help open or close the park. Volunteers will need to go thru a background check and LiveScan fingerprinting thru the City because you get a key to City property. You can commit to just opening, just closing, both or justas a backup person when one of our regulars can’t do it. If you can help, please send an email to [email protected].

Join the Friends of Coyote Hills for their Garage Sale (960 Adlena Dr.) this Saturday, Sept. 10. There will be tons of bargains. Donations can be made at the same location starting tomorrow, Sept. 7. Also, there will be a Kelly Thomas Fundraiser and Demonstration at Fullerton City Hall at Commonwealth and Highland this Saturday, Sept. 10. Plans include food trucks, radio stations, and bands playing. “Almost all of the proceeds will go to the Kelly Thomas Memorial Foundation,” says dad Ron Thomas.

10am: You can learn how to protect your skin by attending a special free health program hosted by the Fullerton Senior Multi-Service Center. Dr. Yvette Cressey will discuss the importance of regular skin care, as well as skin cancer prevention and awareness. Persons attending will also have an opportunity to ask the doctor about dermatological issues. The program, sponsored by CareMore Health Plan, is free, but pre-registration is required and may be made by calling the Senior Center at (714) 738-6305. The Fullerton Senior Multi Service Center is temporarily located at St. Mary’s Church (400 W. Commonwealth Ave.), while construction begins on a new center.

You can learn how to protect your skin by attending a special free health program this Wednesday at 10am, hosted by the Fullerton Senior Multi-Service Center. Dr. Yvette Cressey will discuss the importance of regular skin care, as well as skin cancer prevention and awareness. Persons attending will also have an opportunity to ask the doctor about dermatological issues. 9:30pm-1:15am: Roscoe’s Famous Deli will have free, live music from classic rock cover band the Dalton Gang.

9:30pm-2am: Dance the night away at Cantina Lounge with all-star DJ line-ups with DJ Ever from Power 106 FM, DJ J Love and DJ Juice Rock spinning all night. Ladies get in free before 11pm and guys are just $5 on the guestlist. 1/2 price on beers and wells until 11pm.

11pm: Laugh at Improv Shmimprov at Maverick Theater for only $5.
