Be aware: Construction will begin later this month on much-needed improvements to Euclid St., from Orangethorpe Ave. to the 91 Freeway. The construction is expected to be completed within six weeks. Work hours will be from 7am-7pm Monday through Saturday. Only one lane will be open in each direction during construction. The Muckenthaler Cultural Center will be hosting the 2nd Annual NorthOrange County “Fullerton Sings!” competition on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 7pm. Only 10 finalists will compete that day in front of industry professionals who will judge the competition. The winner will receive $500 cash prize, a trophy, and a contract for a concert at the Muckenthaler in 2012. Deadline is Thursday, Aug. 25 at 5pm by email to adam@themuck.org.
