Be aware: Construction will begin later this month on much-needed improvements to Euclid St., from Orangethorpe Ave. to the 91 Freeway. The construction is expected to be completed within six weeks. Work hours will be from 7am-7pm, Monday through Saturday. Only one lane will be open in each direction during construction. Work later this month will also begin on the West Harbor Alley from Amerige Ave. to Wilshire Ave. behind where Branagan’s and Buffalo Exchange are located. The Fullerton Museum Center is hosting “Camp da Vinci,” which will be led by guest artist Katherine England on August 15-19, 9am-1pm, and will combine art and science as participants study the observation techniques and experiments of Leonardo da Vinci. The camp, designed for youths in the 4th-8th grades, will use art and hands-on experiments to explore topics including flight, architecture, anatomy and physics. Fee for camp is $220 per student, and will include all materials. Space is limited in the camp and advance prepaid registration is required.
